Cook Islands
The Cook Islands have been a self-governing democracy since 1965 when they were no longer considered a territory of the United Kingdom. Their main industry of income is tourism with offshore banking coming in at a near second. The official currency of the Cook Islands is the New Zealand dollar, who the Islands are freely associated with. Because of its high reliance on offshore banking and foreign investment as a source of income, the Cook Islands has relatively low taxes and lax laws and regulations.
